I don’t know this man’s work, and I don’t speak French. But I can say that I find this site to be an absolute delight. A clean, clever and whimsical approach to a website for a recording artist whose body of work stretches back to the 1960s. It’s completely approachable, not over-produced, a sheer pleasure to look through.

Enter your comments here… I am probably Jacques Dutronc’s only english fan and since 1966 too.Going to see him on this last tour too. His music is very french but his approach is sometimes compared with Ray Davies.Song lyrics by Jacques Lanzmann & occasionally one Serge Gainsbourg, are wry, witty and often rude. He likes the ladies and is married to Francoise Hardy, lusted after by many an Englishman in the 60s. He is also a feted actor . Agreed the site is beautifully clear and uncluttered, with the whiteness reminding me of the first Dorling Kindersley design look. You need to be pretty nifty to get results in the Blindtest, which requires you to recognise a song and click on symbol representing that song, against the clock. Only for the truly addicted. Moi ? Mais oui.
Fantastic comment! Thanks for reading!
