The Daily Morning Coffee Ritual

It’s “Life In A Day” day on YouTube. A historic global experiment to create a user-generated feature film, shot in a single day. Produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Kevin Macdonald, the completed documentary will be shown at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2011.

My Submission:
This is my daily grind every morning. I make the coffee the old school way, chez Chemex, and do very little in the way of conversation or work until I’ve consumed at least one cup (ideally two). Here’s how I do it…

YouTube: The Invaluable Networking Tool

In addition to the website, blog, Facebook and Twitter, YouTube is an essential piece of the whole networking operation. A YouTube channel is completely free – perfect for those on a budget. It seamlessly sends a “shout-out” to your other social networking properties. Very helpful for branding and, if you have the right idea, can be a lot of fun. Embedding and sharing the videos is ridiculously easy and a vital tool for any shameless self-promoter like myself. My digital recommendache: get a YouTube channel.
